Only one stove is required for heating the
shop, the other one is being used for testing. |
The KIS Waste Oil Stove incorporates a venture system to spray waste
oil into the fire chamber. It burns very
hot, clean, and is easy to control by adjusting
air pressure up or down. It will burn from
3/4 to 1-1/2 gal per hour.
I am using it to heat a 2400 sq. ft. shop,
22 ft. at the peak and insulated. It also
has a 250 sq. ft. insulated extension added
on to the shop. At the same time, I am also
heating a 1000 sq. ft. house with heated
water that is circulated around the exhaust.
It is requiring approximately 1 gallon per
hour of waste oil. This equates to approximately
144,000 Btu.
After the stove appeared in Farm Show Magazine, there was considerable interest and I now
have a video showing how to build one for
yourself. From the filtering of the oil to
building the stove and nozzle, and how to
maintain and operate the stove. The video
is approximately 1-3/4 hours long. It will
not be up for any awards in Hollywood, but
it does cover all aspects of how to build
the KIS Waste Oil Stove.
Our video is $49.95 and may be purchased by clicking the link
